Create a Monsters University Monster

The movie arrives in theaters June 21st, but in the meantime, Disney has an app that allows you to create your own monster. I made one and she turned out pretty cool, pictured on a Monsters University student ID card.

You choose a monster body type and color; then, you can select hair, fangs, hats, glasses, and more for your little monster. And your monster will have your first name!

Don't want to make your own monster? Get a Mike Wazowski employee t-shirt instead.

Free Character Drawing Class at Hollywood Studios

Do you have a little artist in your family? Or would you like to learn to draw a Disney character the easy way? I stumbled across Four must-sees at Disney World and it was #2 that hit me as something different and fun for just about anyone. First, you will need admission to Hollywood Studios, but once you are there, the class is free.

At the Magic of Animation Academy in the Animation Courtyard, character drawing classes are hosted by a Disney Animator who gives away a drawing at the end of class. One class takes about 30 minutes and sessions run continuously all day long. You never know which character you will be drawing in class because characters change with each session. One detail to note especially if you have an easily frustrated child (or adult) with you is that for the sake of time, there are no erasers so be sure to keep drawing lines light until instructed to darken things up. Have fun making your own souvenir!

Disney's BoardWalk Bakery Open Again

Though Disney's BoardWalk Bakery on Disney's BoardWalk had closed for renovations, it has now reopened. Though a temporary tent location was set up, the menu was limited and mugs could not be refilled at the location. Now, the full menu is back and there is even a separate line for guests who want to refill their mugs so they don't have to wait in the food line. The views of the lake and boardwalk outside the windows are beautiful and the large display cases inside showcase the bakery's many items. Customers have the option of watching bakery cast members create the food items through windows in the store. Have you been? Share your thoughts below.
